OUR BELIEFS

We affirm the central truths of the historic, orthodox Christian faith, as expressed in the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed and more recently, the Lausanne Covenant.

We view the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to be the foundational truth which shapes our commitment to engaging the world and contributing to the renewal of all creation.  We believe the Bible is God’s revelation to humankind, which helps us understand what it means to be fully human and live in genuine community.

We are committed to engaging in respectful conversation and dialog with those from a variety of backgrounds, beliefs and commitments, while holding, with proper and humble confidence, to our own core beliefs.  We recognize that the common pursuit of knowledge and truth requires a willingness to listen to those with whom we differ and speak with conviction about those beliefs and values we hold most dear, all with a common generosity of spirit and heartfelt display of Christ-like love.
